Hi, I’m Kerry. I live in Essex and I am a photographer. People are my passion. I love meeting people and finding out all about them - their families, their lives, their quirks - basically, I’m nosey! I love my job and the fact that I get to capture all these eccentricities on camera. As a busy mother of three I completely understand that capturing life’s small moments are so precious. Time goes quickly and carving out those moments in time hold such sentimental value.
There are three magic elements that ensure I get beautiful photos: Being relaxed, happy and comfortable. When we meet at our chosen location, my sole purpose is to make you feel comfortable. To make you feel like smiling. It helps that I’m absolutely hilarious! I’ll have you all in fits of laughter it’ll be like you’re not even thinking about having your photo taken. I take documentary style photos that give a glimpse into your family’s special bond. My photo sessions are all about authentic connections and capturing a moment in time that will make you smile for years to come.
As the parent of a special needs child, I am extremely adept at relating to all types of people. I pride myself in having an all-inclusive mantra.
I am excited to work with you to ensure that we get the most jaw dropping, emotive, wow photos for you and your family. To treasure for generations to come.
As a way to spread joy and bring people together, I did something unique. Something that will never happen again in our lifetime. To help bring people together during a time when most of us were apart. During lockdown I walked around the streets of Rayleigh, my local town, and took photos of families on their doorsteps.
My sessions were short and sweet (5-10mins) and took place on almost 200 front steps. So many of my families dressed up for me to document a time of togetherness whilst everyone stayed at home. I gave families all their digital images and, in exchange, I asked for a donation to Southend Hospital Charity. An organisation that support patients, their families and the amazing staff. They fund research, support training staff, provide equipment. They also help with improving the hospital environment. It’s a little charity who do big things! The department I chose was The Women’s Clinic.
I raised £3000.
To say I’m proud is an understatement. The journey took me over many miles and many months! I started in March and finished in August. Almost 6 months of walking, snapping and fund raising! I will never forget my doorsteps experience. And I can proudly say I made heaps from new friends too!
Photos with a purpose
“Had an amazing lockdown photo shoot with Kerry! She made us laugh & feel at ease! We played games! She cheered us all up and worked so well with the kids. Even my husband - the biggest kid - who hates anything like this enjoyed it! It really was amazing!
When we received the photos, they were all perfect! Thank you so so much for capturing our life right now!“
